Why is Jungfrau a good ski resort for school groups?

The Jungfrau ski region actually covers a vast area and three main resorts or ski areas: In the middle and perhaps the best area to stay is the Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen. To the West you will find Mürren and to the East, Grindelwald. If Grindelwald is where your school set up base, you can guarantee about half of their selfies will have the jaw dropping North Face of the Eiger as a backdrop.

School ski groups like this area because of the huge choice of skiing on the Jungfrau ski pass, excellent snow conditions in the high Swiss Alps, the relaxed family friendly atmosphere, the amazing Swiss mountain cuisine, the traditional and comfy accommodation, and a whole lot of snow based activities on offer other than skiing!

Getting to Jungfrau
The ski resorts of the Jungfrau aren't especially simple to get to, with the transfer from Zurich airport taking 2 hours and Geneva airport taking at least 3 hours. Your school trip may be better taking a coach from the UK. We'll give you the best options for your chosen date.

For beginners
Blue graded ski slopes (wide, gentle and easy for beginners to practice on) cover a whopping 75km and are served by drag, chair and gondola lifts. There are plenty of more testing red runs too, should your students already have skiing experience. Don't worry about which resort you end up staying in, they are all great and you will find great quality skiing for beginners all across the Jungfrau area. The resorts also share a couple of snowparks for your students to practice their tricks on if snowboarding is on the menu.

Jungfrau accommodation
The area is large enough to have enough accommodation options to suit the budget of any school group. Local transport links within and between neighbouring resorts are excellent, allowing you to quickly transfer from resort to resort.
