Why is Leysin a good ski resort for school groups?
Located in the Lake Geneva region of Switzerland, Leysin is the perfect location for school ski trips. With over 60km of runs on 29 pistes there's plenty of room to ski. It is also home to a number of colleges and international schools, which makes Leysin perfect for schools trips, as it is very much set up for students and school children of all different ages.
The upper slopes are never short of snow and much of the resort has snow making capabilities, making it a snowsure resort for the whole season.

The closest international airport to Leysin is Geneva, which is only 44 miles and a very short transfer away.
For beginners
Leysin is a great resort for first time school ski groups. By the upper part of the village you will find the Plan-Praz run, designed with beginners in mind. The resort boasts a good number of blue runs, although some of them are more suited for beginner/intermediate skiers than first week beginners. On top of this the resort also has 7km of cross country pistes and a snow park if any of your group fancy are handy at snowboarding.
